Corporate Video Translation? C’est Facile.
Translating your corporate video into different languages is a great thing to do. It opens up your audience to include clients overseas, and probably costs less than you’d think.
If you’ve got an event coming up outside of the UK, it’s worth thinking about having your corporate videos translated. Whether you’ve got an effective promo that just needs some captions changing, or an interview that needs to be dubbed, it’s generally a lot less stressful than you might imagine. There are a couple of ways to effectively translate your video into another language, so there are a few stages to consider.
If your video is very long, or includes a lot of dialogue, it may be worth getting your video transcribed before it gets translated. This is something Tech TV can do in-house, and means that the person translating your video will have a clear written copy of exactly what is said in your video, which makes it much quicker to translate.
The translation itself is a relatively quick process. We’re able to translate your corporate video into European languages like French, German, Italian and Spanish, but also into Arabic, Mandarin, Russian and any other language you may need. Once the translation is complete, we may ask that someone from your company checks it over to make sure there are no technical or industry specific words that could have been misinterpreted.
We can then have someone record a voiceover to replace the original language on your video. This usually works best if you’ve already used a voiceover in your corporate video, rather than trying to dub an interview or conversation. A professional voiceover can give a really great high-end feel to your translated video.
Subtitles are usually the best way to add another language to your video, as they look clean and professional and can include two languages, so you’re keeping your audience fairly open. Subtitles can take a little while to create if you video is fairly long, or if there is a lot of dialogue, but for most short promo videos they can be added to your video in a matter of hours.
If your video was produced by Tech TV, or if you can get hold of your original project files, we can also change on screen text manually. So rather than cluttering your images with both text and subtitles, we can just change your original wording for the translated text.
The great thing about translating your video into another language is that you can pick and choose which of the above services you need. We can translate videos for you, or if you have a member of your team who can translate a script, we can arrange for the voiceover or subtitles to be added. It’s a service that can be used to revamp an old corporate video for a new audience, or added onto your new corporate video package.
